A community-driven organization that provides support to individuals experiencing homelessness in Sacramento, CA
Food
For many individuals experiencing homelessness, access to food is unpredictable and inconsistent. This can lead to food insecurity, malnutrition, and other health issues. In addition, many individuals experiencing homelessness struggle with chronic health conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease, which can be exacerbated by poor nutrition. Access to healthy, nutritious food is critical for managing these conditions and maintaining overall health.
Clothing
In addition to clothing, individuals experiencing homelessness often lack access to basic hygiene items such as soap, toothbrushes, and feminine hygiene products. By providing these items, Meals and Clothing for All helps to promote health and dignity for those in need. We also offers resources for getting back on track, including information about housing, job training, and healthcare services.
Who we serve
The organization recognizes that homelessness is a complex issue and often rooted in systemic causes. African Americans make up approximately 40% of the homeless population, despite representing just 13% of the overall population.
